Log Cabin Democrat Producers who want to learn the finer points of propagating fruits and nuts have an opportunity from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at “Putting 2 and 2 Together: A Propagation Workshop,” to be held at the Faulkner County Extension office of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.

“We’ve heard from fruit, tomato and pecan growers that they want to know more about propagation,” said Kami Marsh, Faulkner county extension agricultural agent. “We hope this will be a good place to find answers to their questions.

The $15 registration fee covers lunch and materials. The agenda includes Dan Chapman, resident director of the University of Arkansas Fruit Research Station near Clarksville; John Gavin, Bradley County extension staff chair for the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture; and Curt Rom, U of A horticulture professor and apple expert.
