Children are more likely to eat fruit if it is presented well, according to new research. The study, conducted in the Netherlands and Belgium, found that youngsters were more compelled to eat fruit which was fun.
And attractive. When shown the food in a variety of different ways, the kids mainly chose to eat fruit which was skewered with colorful cocktail sticks. And experts are calling on parents to try different means to introduce their kids to healthy food.
Doctor Laura Wyness of the British Nutrition Foundation says, "It is advisable to try to make food as appetizing as possible. How food looks probably does have quite an influence, especially for kids who are getting used to different types of food. Another technique is to try to hide vegetables and fruits in other foods like sauces."
